Hendersons Wharf Marina Office Assistant

We are seeking a precise and reliable Part-time office assistant to assist in weekly financial operations. This role offers flexible hours. In addition, we will have on the job training.

Educational Background
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or GED. Coursework in mathematics, business, or accounting can be beneficial.
  • Postsecondary Education (Optional but Preferred): An associate degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field can enhance job prospects and provide a deeper understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Essential Skills
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency with accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Microsoft Excel) is highly valuable.
  • Application and leasing support: Prepare and process rental applications and leases.
  • Tenant onboarding: Prepare new tenant folders, complete move-in documents and maintain accurate records.
  • Rent collections, receipting and prepare deposits.
  • Submit required reports and maintain records according to policies.
  • Numerical Proficiency: Strong math skills are necessary for handling financial transactions and records.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical in bookkeeping to avoid costly errors in financial statements.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage and file a variety of documents and data efficiently.
  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to interpret and analyze financial data is essential for identifying discrepancies and ensuring records are correct.
  • Communication Skills: Interact with clients, vendors, and colleagues, so clear verbal and written communication is important.
