Position Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and compassionate Driver to safely transport senior participants between their homes and our adult daycare facility. This role is essential to ensuring the well-being and daily attendance of our clients, and helping maintain their independence and social engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport seniors to and from the daycare center, typically in the morning and late afternoon.
Assist seniors as they enter and exit the vehicle, including use of wheelchairs or walkers if needed.
Maintain a clean, well-functioning vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols while ensuring punctuality.
Maintain accurate transportation logs and report any incidents or delays.
Communicate professionally and courteously with participants, caregivers, and staff.
Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control standards, including COVID-related protocols.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience working with elderly or individuals with disabilities preferred.
Ability to lift or assist individuals with limited mobility (with proper training).
Dependable, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, drive, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to assist with mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers.
Must be able to work early mornings and afternoons reliably.
