Job Description

A part-time counselor position is available to support K-12 students in an educational setting in Miami, FL. This contract role offers 20 hours per week, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, during the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Support students social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of counseling sessions and student progress
• Implement interventions to promote positive behavior and mental health

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a school counselor or related counseling role
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant professional credentials and licenses as required by the state
