Job Description

This full-semester contract opportunity is for a dedicated counselor to support K-12 students in a New York school setting. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, including general education and special education students, with a focus on guidance counseling and career/college planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group counseling sessions to K-12 students, supporting social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum.
• Manage both general education and special education caseloads, including students with ASD, ED, BD, ID, and LD.
• Deliver guidance counseling services focusing on academic, personal, and career development.
• Collaborate with educators and families to support student well-being and academic success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in relevant meetings and trainings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience delivering counseling services virtually as well as onsite.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations across general and special education settings.
• Strong background in social-emotional learning curricula and career/college planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location:

• Walton, New York (onsite presence highly preferred).
