Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled individual to operate manual and CNC machining equipment, making program edits as needed. Your attention to detail will ensure that components meet precise dimensions and tolerances. You will also maintain a safe and organized work environment while contributing to efficiency improvements. If you have 3-5 years of experience and a solid understanding of G-code or conversational programming, we want to hear from you!

This is a 1st Shift Position in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Edit programs directly on CNC machines.
• Machine components to meet print dimensions and tolerances.
• Accurately measure parts using tools such as:
• Outside micrometers
• Inside micrometers
• Depth micrometers
• Digital, dial, and vernier calipers
• Scales
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Complete all associated paperwork accurately.
• Stay updated with required training.
• Work on a variety of parts and processes across multiple machines.
• Resolve most problems within defined parameters.
• Provide guidance to junior team members as needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Commitment to a zero-accident safety culture.
• Strong shop math skills, including basic trigonometry.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of G-code and/or conversational programming for CNC machines.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of fixturing and safe work holding.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience with cast materials.
• Basic rigging and overhead crane operation.
• Understanding of turning and milling insert geometries.
• Knowledge of cut conditions, including feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
• Previous experience machining stainless alloys.

Working Conditions

• 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:30
• 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:45 - 23:15
• Overtime as required (36-hour notice for required overtime).
