The company operates with a full-time design team conducting trend forecasting, product design and development, and consumer testing on an 18-month product design cycle. In addition to its headquarters in Apopka, Florida, LiveTrends has design and research partners in Europe and Asia which enables it to design over 400 unique products each year. Job Description: LiveTrends is currently searching for a highly energetic, motivated, and creative individual to fill the role of Interior Design Assistant. The main task is to contribute to all Spatial-planning and creative space endeavors: from trade show design and planning to highly creative interior rotations for our retail store. An innovative mind set is key. We are looking for someone who is a skilled model maker, passionate about contemporary arts and crafts, and who can make beautifully curated interiors to support our lead interior. Any experience in Horticulture, Floristry and perhaps Nature-scaping will help. Responsibilities Assist lead interior designer and trade show manager by designing layouts and creating visual 3d renderings. Assist with trade show visual design and decorations this includes building, painting, and creating hand crafted designs. Based on a clear brief and budget, design innovative and desirable store/expo/interior experiences. Generate multiple and varied concepts to present to the business for feedback loops. Learn the creative process and creative culture of the company. Immerse yourself in the company to deliver a clear brand voice to everything you touch. Become familiar with all LiveTrends product collections past and present, to better inform your own work. Collaborate effectively with all product stakeholders and beyond. Know how to interpret and process Trend Reports into excellent forward-thinking interior designs and experiences. Qualifications All round creativity, exquisite taste, and a finger on the pulse of contemporary design and culture is key. BA in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent. Basic understanding and knowledge of interior space manufacturing, materials, and processes. A passion for Home Dcor, Floral, or Fashion industries is preferred. Keen interest in trends, design, art and mass market retail. Proven track record of successfully designing desirable spaces. Ability to listen hard, effectively take direction, and learn on the job. Ability to communicate clearly with sketches. Excellent presentation skills. Excellent writing skills. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines with a positive attitude. Competent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max (or equivalent 3D software), Keyshot (or equivalent). Perfectionist approach to details.
