General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to be trained in electronic assembly of switches for various industries including military, government, agriculture, and healthcare. The role involves working with small parts, requiring excellent hand-eye coordination, and using hand tools to build different component parts.

Location

La Grange / McCook IL

First Shift

M-F 6:00-2:30 plus 3-4 hours OT daily

Pay

Regular: $15

OT: $22.50

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, including placing components onto PC boards.
• Work with small precision hand tools and power tools.
• Gather necessary materials for assembly tasks.
• Stand at a workstation for extended periods and pay close attention to detail.
• Participate in ultrasound line training, performing mechanical assembly on a conveyor belt.
• Follow work orders to assemble ultrasound parts.

Essential Skills

• Experience with electronic assembly and using hand tools.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Solder certification is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with pick and place operations may adjust pay rate.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing setting with long rows and five workstations per row. Temperature checks are conducted at the start and end of each shift. The atmosphere is laid-back but results-oriented, with expectations of self-sufficiency. Shift times include first shift (6am-2:30pm), second shift (3:00-11:30pm), and third shift (10pm-6:30am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Cook, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
