About the Role:
The Adolphus Group is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based residential homes. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live safe, empowered, and fulfilling lives.
Placement & Schedule:
Placement is based on current staffing needs across our Philadelphia residential programs. DSPs may be assigned to any of the following homes depending on availability:
Jefferson House (West Philadelphia)
Edgewood House (West Philadelphia)
58th Street House (West Philadelphia)
Dunlap House (West Philadelphia)
Available shifts vary and may include mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide respectful, person-centered support with daily living activities
Assist with hygiene, dressing, meals, and medication administration
Support clients in recreational and community engagement activities
Complete daily documentation, shift notes, and reports accurately
Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment in the home
Collaborate with team members and respond to emergencies as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Must be 18 years or older
Valid driver’s license preferred
Must pass all required background checks
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and bending
