Shift- 5:00pm – 3:30 AM Monday–Thursday*
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Supervisor to oversee their warehouse operations during the night shift. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth logistics, efficient inventory management, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in warehouse management, with a focus on process improvement and team management.
Responsibilities of the position
Report safety hazards and incidents immediately to the appropriate department and first responder team if necessary.
Communicate all personnel and order issues with Production Manager and Project Manager.
Remain up to speed on all current work orders in your area, communicating all necessary information on production progress. Communicate due dates in danger of being missed to the Project Manager in the daily production meeting.
Prepare production reports and shipping shortage lists daily for each area Lead in your area
Attend daily production meetings and provide status updates on product lines affected by your area
Ensure work station production schedules are met where applicable
Remain informed on all current work orders in your area, communicating all necessary information on production progress and any future due dates in jeopardy of being missed
Monitor production efficiency hourly, utilizing Area Leads and personnel roving
Guarantee on time shipment/delivery on all scheduled orders and expedite
Communicate with the Elevated Project Manager on all discrepancies of quantity on Mexico shipments.
Communicate constantly with your team keeping them informed on the current work load and schedules.
Evaluate and update finished goods safety stock in Fourth Shift on a monthly basis
Rebalance table schedules daily and communicate changes to the Elevated Scheduler.
Communicate and implement changes discussed with the Continuous Improvement Manager and Team.
Oversee Scheduled Inventory Cycle counts
Work with HR and the Production Manager to handle all discipline, accountability and personnel issues within your team including training, cross training and all direct report reviews.
Review MORVed orders for accuracy and correct WIP reports
Communicate all issues with the Supervisor of the opposite shift via email or specified avenue.
Have all work orders picked and filed daily.
Ensure production, quality and safety procedures are communicated weekly in Monday Meetings
Evaluate and report on time delivery of customer orders on a monthly basis
Conduct 6S Audits per published schedule
Any other task as specified by management
Overtime/weekend work may be required with short notice.
Academic & trade qualifications
Microsoft Office Application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year management experience or similar role
Must be able to handle pressure and think clearly in all situations.
Must be organized and able to multitask efficiently.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
Knowledge of the 4th Shift Production Software System and Visibar.
Manufacturing Experience strongly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $31.25 per hour
