Job Description

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking individuals to join our wait staff team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Part Time: Thursday - Monday - 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $21.00

Job Duties:

• Greet residents and guests as they arrive in the dining room;
• Record food and beverage orders and input into POS system;
• Complete bussing, runner, meal plater, utility and catering duties as needed or assigned;
• Set up, clear and clean dining room ensuring tables are clean and disinfected (as appropriate);
• Take orders, serve food and beverages;
• Provide effective and courteous service to all residents, guests, vendors and fellow team members;
• Take note of safety concerns and needed repairs and report to supervisor;
• Responsible for adhering to HIPPA privacy rules and company policies;

Requirements:

• Fast food or restaurant experience preferred;
• Experience working with seniors preferred;
• Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred;
• Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with residents;
• Available on holidays, evenings and weekends
