About the Role

The Company is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Government Affairs to spearhead the creation and execution of an innovative public policy strategy. This pivotal role focuses on advocating for business interests, particularly in addiction policy, and championing patient access to vital addiction treatment. Key responsibilities include crafting and deploying comprehensive government affairs strategies, enhancing relationships with the Federal government, and expanding the Company's presence in Washington. The successful candidate will proactively identify emerging policy trends, maintain open communication with senior leadership, and adapt strategies accordingly. Demonstrated expertise in the Federal landscape and a robust background in corporate government relations are crucial.

Applicants should possess a BS or BA degree and at least 15 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, government, or policy. Candidates with Capitol Hill, federal agency, or comparable experience are preferred. A comprehensive understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, prior engagements within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors, and strong team management skills are required. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with keen political awareness, adept at cross-functional collaboration, and skilled in distilling complex issues into clear, persuasive messaging. Exceptional executive presence, communication, and influencing abilities are essential, along with the capacity to operate as an enterprise-wide leader while ensuring compliance with government affairs regulations.
