This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS - UAW and The New School. More information about this agreement and SENS - UAW may be found on the Labor Relations website. The pay rate is $29.20/hr, effective September 1, 2025. Responsibilities: Provide undergraduate and graduate students individual tutoring support and instruction in various softwares, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Rhino, Figma, Blender, Premiere, After Effects, AutoCAD, Fusion, V-Ray, Revit, SketchUp, etc. Work with students of varying skill levels from demonstrating the basics to assisting with complex problems and a range of issues in between. Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students’ diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences. Complete administrative tasks, such as writing brief descriptions of each session and emailing a brief summary of daily attendance during remote tutoring period. Other opportunities include leading in-class workshops and/or specialized ULC workshops. Tutoring will be hybrid, with both online and in-person shifts (according to tutor availability). Work Mode: Hybrid Minimum Qualifications: Must have a high level of comfort and expertise in the Adobe Creative Cloud and other software programs. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at The New School. Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
