Provides quality nutritional care to patients such as the development, implementation and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapy.
- Develop individualized nutrition plans based on patient assessments, medical history, and specific health needs.
- Implement and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to support patient recovery and manage chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to integrate nutritional care into overall patient treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on nutritional practices, dietary modifications, and healthy eating habits.
- Conduct regular follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of nutritional interventions and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting nutritional assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital policies related to nutritional care
Must Haves
- Bacheors – Food + Nutrition related fields
- FL State Licensure
- Registration by Commission on Dietetics Registration
- 1+ year in Clinical Facility setting
