Job Title : Medical Technologist (MT) / Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

A Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) performs complex laboratory tests and analyses to diagnose, monitor, and treat various medical conditions. They work in clinical laboratories, hospitals, and diagnostic settings, contributing essential data to healthcare providers that aids in patient diagnosis, treatment, and disease management.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform and analyze complex laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
\n
• Accurately operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, automated analyzers, and diagnostic testing instruments.
\n
• Collect, prepare, and process biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples for diagnostic testing.
\n
• Interpret test results and provide accurate, detailed information to physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in patient care.
\n
• Ensure the validity, accuracy, and precision of laboratory tests and quality control processes.
\n
• Maintain laboratory records, including test results, patient information, and quality control documentation.
\n
• Collaborate with physicians, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to support clinical decisions and patient care.
\n
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory compliance related to laboratory procedures.
\n
• Stay current on advancements in medical technology, laboratory techniques, and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Participate in quality assurance programs, proficiency testing, and continuous education initiatives to maintain certifications and professional development.

Qualifications :

\n
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
\n
• Certification :\n

  • Certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or a similar certifying body.

• Experience : Previous experience in clinical laboratory setting
