Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Location: Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Assignment Type: Travel

Overview

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry unit. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in monitoring and managing patients requiring continuous cardiac and vital sign observation, while delivering high-quality care during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Telemetry unit, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment.
• Operate and interpret telemetry equipment to track patient cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and perform bedside procedures as required.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations with sound clinical judgment.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Must-Have Skills/Experience

• Proficiency with Life Pak
• Proficiency with Zoll
• Proficiency with Masimo

Preferred Skillset/Experience

• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system

Required Education

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (minimum requirement)

Years of Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience
