Translator

Shifts available are 1st, 2nd, & 3rd

We are seeking a skilled Translator to support verbal and written communication across our team. This role focuses on live interpretation as well as some written translation tasks. The Translator will work directly with supervisors, administrative staff, and employees to ensure accurate and effective communication between associates and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate technical manuals, safety documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Provide real-time verbal translation during meetings, training sessions, and safety briefings.
• Assist HR and management in translating employee communications, notices, and policies.
• Ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations that maintain the original intent and tone.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity and consistency in translated materials.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Support onboarding and training of non-English-speaking staff.
• Assist with document organization and management in multiple languages.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English and French Creole (written and spoken).
• 2+ years of translation experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with industry terminology, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multilingual environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and translation tools is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent work on the manufacturing floor with exposure to industrial equipment and processes.
• May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Occasional overtime or shift flexibility may be required.
