Job Description:
The Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering cost effective employee and organizational training. This position actively searches for and/or designs and implements effective training materials and courses that educate, enhance performance, and provide employees with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their job duties and improve their professional skills and knowledge to meet current and future organizational needs. The Training Specialist is also responsible for administering the Learning Management System (LMS) and supporting the training needs of our employees.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of training development; instructional design; Learning Management System (LMS); plumbing, heating, and/or water works wholesale industry.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain good customer, vendor and staff relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
- Ability to speak, read and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.
- Experience leading/ coordinating, planning, and organizing training for an employer.
- Candidates must be able to problem solve, can multitask, prioritize, and meet set deadlines.
- Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Publisher).
- Ability to use computer programs to develop online training. Experience with Articulate 360 course authoring suite a plus.
- Learning Management System (LMS) administrator

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, education, instructional design, or related field,
- 2-5 years in a wholesale distribution environment,
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
