Training Specialist to join our HR team.
The Training Specialist works in conjunction with the OD&T Manager to develop training program content. A qualified candidate contributes ideas and experience in best practices to help plan a curriculum for adult learners and takes initiative to achieve designated goals.
Salary Range: $68,000 -$78,000 DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct thorough needs analysis for production and administrative departments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
Collaborate with department managers to understand specific training needs and objectives.
Design and develop comprehensive training programs and curricula tailored to the needs of production workers and administrative staff.
Develop engaging and interactive e-learning modules using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and other e-learning software.
Design ILT materials, including presentations, manuals, and handouts for production and administration.
Coordinate and support the delivery of ILT sessions directly or by assisting trainers.
Capture and edit photos, videos, and audio using Adobe creative Cloud and other multimedia tools to create rich learning content.
Develop job aids, work instructions, and quick reference guides that include visual elements to support on-the-job learning.
Design and implement assessment tools like quizzes, tests, and practical evaluations to measure learning outcomes and training effectiveness.
Collect and analyze feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continually improve training programs.
Develop training materials to support new company initiatives, product launches, and process changes.
Design and implement OJT programs for production workers, ensuring they receive practical, hands-on training.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote training programs and encourage participation.
Coordinate with external vendors (Workday an E-80) to supplement internal training resources
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor's degree in a field related to training or at least 2 years of professional experience in training required.
Prior professional experience developing CBT content using Articulate Storyline, or similar training development software, and Adobe design suite products (e.g., Photoshop, Audition, Premiere) preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Ability to draft documents, organize content, proofread, and edit writing, including procedures and SME-provided materials, strongly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback into future work products required.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team required.
Strong ability to organize, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment required.
**Bilingual in English and Spanish (professional fluency) strongly preferred. **
Working Conditions: Works full-time (8 hr. shift), 40 hours per week. Schedule flexibility may be required to conduct training during evening shifts.
Works indoors in a well-lit office environment but includes time on the manufacturing floor as needed.
This job operates in a professional office environment which is generally quiet. This role also routinely performs duties in a manufacturing / production environment. The production environment can be moderately loud to loud.
While in the production environment, this role may be exposed to moving parts and equipment.
Wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, hair net, etc.
