Job Description

We are hiring a Paralegal to join our TN Team, focusing on U.S. employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions for Mexican professionals under the TN classification. This role supports attorneys and managers by preparing and filing petitions, communicating with clients, and ensuring compliance with TN-specific requirements under the USMCA framework. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of direct TN petition experience, are confident communicators, and can manage multiple client matters simultaneously. This position is remote or hybrid for Austin-based candidates. Location Eligibility: At this time, we are only able to hire candidates residing in Texas, South Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Oklahoma, Idaho, or Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file employment-based TN visa petitions in accordance with USMCA/NAFTA requirements.
• Draft employer support letters and compile documentation to prove eligibility for TN classification (education, experience, licensure).
• Liaise with Mexican and U.S.-based clients in both English and Spanish to request, review, and confirm supporting documents.
• Coordinate directly with clients and employers to gather required documents and ensure completeness.
• Track deadlines and proactively manage timelines to avoid delays in employment start dates or renewals.
• Maintain case documentation in immigration case management systems.
• Ensure compliance with the Department of State, CBP, and USCIS TN filing requirements.
• Provide updates to clients regarding status, next steps, and requests for evidence (RFEs) if applicable.
• Occasionally support adjacent employment-based visa cases as needed.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
• 1–3 years of experience specifically handling TN visa petitions.
• Strong understanding of USMCA TN occupational categories and requirements.
• Excellent writing and organizational skills, especially in preparing employer support letters.
• Experience using case management tools such as Clio, Docketwise, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and communicate clearly with diverse clients.
