We are seeking a temp-to-perm House Manager to oversee a property in Greenwich, CT. The House Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and smooth operation of the residence. This includes oversight of vendors, systems, inventory, and the delivery of a five-star level of service in alignment with the principal’s preferences and lifestyle. This is a contract role for the first 3 months with potential to turn into full-time thereafter.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Property & Systems Oversight
• Ensure the home is well maintained inside and out.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance, repairs, and preventative care for all systems (AV, HVAC, security, plumbing, etc.).
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness.
2. Vendor & Contractor Management
• Schedule and oversee all vendor appointments (e.g., maid service, landscaping, pool service, pest control).
• Source, vet, and manage contractors for any needed work or renovations.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery and resolve issues as needed.
3. Household Inventory & Purchasing
• Maintain accurate inventories of household supplies, groceries, and specialty items.
• Manage procurement of goods in line with the principal’s preferences.
• Track budgets and receipts; report monthly or as requested.
4. Administrative Duties
• Maintain household manuals, property binders, and vendor contact lists.
• Regularly communicate with Project Manager on updates, requests, and issues.
• Maintain car cleanliness in line with the principal’s preferences.
5. Security & Confidentiality
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Oversee household security protocols.
• Ensure property is secure when unoccupied.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week. The House Manager has flexibility in setting their schedule, with the understanding that core responsibilities must be completed in a timely and proactive manner. While most tasks can be performed independently, occasional availability during weekdays or weekends may be required based on the needs of the household or the principal. Reliability, communication and discretion are essential.
Pay: $5,000/monthly. This is a 1099 position.
