Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support our tax, treasury, and risk management functions. This role is critical to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, have a foundation in accounting, sharp analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative approach to working across departments.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
Tax Compliance & Planning
Reconcile payroll tax filings on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Prepare, file, and remit Sales & Use and Excise tax returns.
Prepare and file Income Tax returns for multiple entities.
Manage property tax filings and related documentation.
Collaboration & Analysis
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support accurate tax analysis and reporting.
Accounting Support
Assist with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
At least 1–3 years of experience in tax or accounting.
Associates degree in accounting with relevant work experience required, bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
3+ years of direct tax or accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and the tax code.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; familiarity with financial systems or ERP platforms is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay range for this position is $50,000 to $68,000 depending on experience.
Benefits for this role include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k) Plan with Company Match, Vacation & PTO, and Tuition Reimbursement. There is also a potential for a discretionary bonus this bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.
