Job Description

STS Technical Services is seeking a Sr. Logistics Specialist to join our team in Erlanger, Kentucky . In this role, you will be responsible for resolving issues related to transportation, logistics systems, imports, and exports. You will ensure all shipments comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, while optimizing transportation methods to achieve cost-effective solutions.

• Manage and resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, and cargo shipments, both international and domestic.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for international and domestic shipments in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend optimal transportation modes, routes, and equipment to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate transportation rates and services, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and legal standards.
• Analyze corporate logistics processes and recommend improvements to internal and external logistics systems.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental and government regulations in all logistics activities.
• Develop and maintain metrics, reports, and documentation for logistics operations.
• Manage key performance metrics to align with budget projections and cost-saving initiatives.
• Build and leverage relationships with logistics providers to improve supply chain efficiency and delivery schedules.
• Research and resolve shipping complaints, lost items, and damages.

• Bachelor???s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of domestic and international logistics experience, preferably within the airline industry .
• Experience with customs clearance , forms, and procedures.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods shipping (Previous certification is preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide solutions to senior management.
• Experience with aviation Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
