Job Description

Support speech and language therapy services for students in a K-12 school setting located in Yakima, WA. This contract position for the current school year offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the developmental progress of children with speech, language, and communication needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with speech and language therapy services as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Provide direct intervention and support to students to enhance their communication skills
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to foster student achievement
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services rendered and student progress
• Adhere to district policies and procedures concerning student confidentiality and care

Qualifications:

• Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification/license as required by Washington State
• Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team
• Dedication to supporting diverse learners and promoting inclusive educational environments
