Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a K-12 school setting in San Antonio, TX for the school year contract from August 12th through May 29th. This role focuses on supporting speech-language programs under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists to help students improve communication skills and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with screening, assessment, and treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Implementing therapy activities designed by speech-language pathologists
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Preparing materials and setting up equipment for therapy sessions
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech-language development and disorders
  • Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and work under professional supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation
