QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor's degree in speech communications, speech-language/pathology, or communication disorder/speech sciences OR a bachelor's degree (in any major) plus 24 semester hours in speech-language-hearing sciences from a regionally accredited college/university
• Certificate of completion of an approved speech-language pathology assistant program which includes a minimum 100-clock hour school-based practicum under the supervision of an ASHA-certified, CDE-licensed school speech-language pathologist
• Clinical experience preferred

Pay:

• $40-$42/hr.
• $1,400-$1,470 weekly total on 35 hours
• Full-time M-F

Job Description:

• The caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location.
• Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 35 hours per week.
• The contract follows the academic district calendar.

Position Overview:
Provide speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication and learning skills.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with screenings and evaluations as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success by implementing individualized education plans and providing direct therapy services addressing treatment goals to meet the needs of the student(s), as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Collect data and document student performance and report its information in a timely manner.
• Conduct individual and group therapy using curriculum-based materials and provide progress reports.
• Create engaging learning environments and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
