Job Description

Position Title: Quality Inspector

Wage: $23.00 - $28.00/hour

Shift: 1st

A well-established precision CNC machine shop in Dallas, TX is seeking a skilled Aerospace Quality Inspector with at least 2 years of hands-on inspection experience in a machining environment. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in tight-tolerance dimensional inspections, GD&T, and blueprint reading.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article, In-Process and Final Inspections on CNC-machined components
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T callouts
- Conduct receiving inspections on raw materials and outsourced parts
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist with root cause analysis
- Maintain inspection documentation and calibration records to AS9100 standards
- Collaborate with machinists and programmers to resolve quality concerns
- Support development of custom inspection procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area

Requirements for Quality Inspector:
- 2+ years of aerospace or precision machining inspection experience
- Strong proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and tight-tolerance inspections
- Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges
- Experience with CMMs; knowledge of PC-DMIS preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems
- Experience with digital inspection records and ERP systems (ProShop a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with scanner arms or laser measurement tools is a plus
- Formal training or certification in GD&T or aerospace inspection preferred
- Able to work weekends as needed
