Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Boaz, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol food and beverage locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure atmosphere while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the food and beverage processing location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify unusual activity.
• Monitor for unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior in and around the facility.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns observed during patrols.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
• Support Allied Universal management and local staff by communicating observations and/or concerns as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
