About the Position
The technical sales role will contact new prospects and maintain frequent communication with existing customers. You will be responsible for identifying technical solutions that meet customer requirements, resulting in long-term relationships and recurring production contracts.
This position is integral to further accelerating the company's growth with customers around the world. As a result there is upside in performance-based comp.
We will consider candidates ranging from 1~20 years of experience.
Responsibilities- Business Development: Develop new outbound prospects, convert inbound opportunities, and grow existing accounts.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers.
- Solution Sales: Identify and recommend technical solutions which meet all customer requirements.
- Travel: Visit clients across the world and meet customers at industry tradeshows. Travel of 10%-25% is expected.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
- Driven, goal oriented, and high velocity
- Friendly and outgoing
- Ability to communicate with engineers about complex topics
- 1-3 years of experience at a technology or engineering-centric company
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role
- US-citizen (there are no sponsorship opportunities available)
Qualifications that will help your application but aren't required:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or Computer Science
- Knowledge of solution sales and negotiations
- Experience with outbound prospecting
- History of closing deals to successfully meet sales targets
Position Details- Location: This position is based in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA.
- On-Site Requirement: This is not a remote or hybrid role the expectation is work on-site 8 hours/day 5 days a week unless visiting customers or taking calls before/after standard business hours.
