The Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) is a statewide construction trade association that consists of over 500 Michigan companies representing construction disciplines such as road and bridge, sewer and water, utility, railroad, excavation, and specialty construction. MITA's mission is to promote the development, improvement, and sustainability of Michigan's infrastructure through advocacy, education, and collaboration. The association works closely with government agencies, lawmakers, industry stakeholders, and the public to address infrastructure challenges, advocate for funding and policy support, and promote best practices in construction and transportation management.
The Safety Coordinator Position
The Safety Coordinator is a subject-matter-expert for on-site hazards and provides superior safety services, including training and consultation for MITA members. The Safety Coordinator develops and distributes safety-related materials, distributes information about changes to safety standards, and assists in new member recruitment and existing member retention.
The Safety Coordinator plays an integral part in supporting the Association’s membership needs. The Safety Coordinator handles all the salient safety and training details that go into MITA’s success with members.
