This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys working in a dynamic, travel-loving environment while providing exceptional care and support to two delightful children. The family has two children: a seven-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl. The eldest is sporty, energetic, and competitive, with a particular passion for tennis. His younger sister is affectionate, creative, and imaginative, with a love for animals, crafts, and pretend play. Both children are naturally a little shy at first but quickly become affectionate and engaging once comfortable. They thrive on a balance of active days and calmer moments for creativity and quiet play. Day-to-day responsibilities will include planning and supervising engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, supporting schoolwork and homework, and arranging playdates to encourage social interaction. The role also includes occasional proxy parenting when the parents are away. While the family employs a chef, the nanny will be asked at times to prepare simple, healthy meals for the children. The position requires someone who can maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing environment, working collaboratively with the household staff. This is a live-in position, working six days per week, with some flexibility during school hours. The nanny will be on call during this time in case other family duties are required. The family provides lovely private accommodation, and the role offers a flat salary inclusive of all hours, including evening babysitting and travel days. The nanny should also be available to travel with the family at short notice, and no additional travel rates apply. The family travels regularly, particularly to the United States (Florida and New York) and Canada during the summer months. For this reason, the family requires a candidate who holds a US or Canadian passport to facilitate travel. A confident driver with a clean record is essential. The ideal nanny will be sporty, confident in the water, and happy to engage in a wide range of activities. A background in teaching or tutoring would be highly valued, and fluency in Spanish or French would be an advantage. Above all, the family is looking for a warm, positive, and organised individual with the maturity to know when to take initiative and when to step back in a busy household.
