Primary Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety regulations and procedures while operating equipment and performing warehouse tasks. Conduct pre-operational equipment checks, follow safe operating practices, and report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately .
Equipment Operation: Operate various types of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers to move, stack, and retrieve goods within the distribution center. Safely maneuver equipment in narrow aisles and confined spaces while adhering to established guidelines.
Unloading Shipments: Safely and efficiently unload incoming shipments from trucks using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks .
Product Verification : Verify the accuracy of received products by comparing items against purchase orders or delivery manifests, ensuring correct quantities and specifications .
Inventory Management : Transport verified products to designated storage locations within the warehouse, utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) scan guns and tools to maintain proper inventory levels and locations.
Documentation: Accurately record all receipts and maintain proper documentation, including updating inventory records and reporting discrepancies .
Inventory Management: Stock products in designated areas promptly and accurately, ensuring optimal organization and accessibility.
Technology Utilization : Employ handheld radio frequency (R.F.) scanners to track and manage inventory efficiently.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized assigned work area at all times during your scheduled shift .
Physical Demands : Lift heavy cases up to 50 lbs. and operate equipment in varying climates, meeting the physical demands of the role.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Prior experience with pallet riders, stock pickers, or similar equipment preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely.
Familiarity with RF scanners and picking systems is advantageous .
Skills:
Ability to operate equipment safely and proficiently, with good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
