Your Role

We are seeking an Intermediate-Level Microbiology Lab Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing media, sterilizing laboratory equipment, and assembling test devices for biopharmaceutical filtration membrane testing, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The technician will support testing operations by performing basic troubleshooting on test set-ups and retention testing processes, while utilizing a foundational understanding of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support data accuracy and workflow efficiency. This is a B shift position 4:30PM-12:30AM.

Duties Include

• Making medias, sterilizing equipment, preparing test devices safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
\n
• Safely set up and operate quality lab test equipment and monitor required inputs and outputs.
\n
• Support quality lab operations and projects under the supervision of senior technicians.
\n
• Accurately complete documentation per GMP standards.
\n
• Initiate and participate in Out of Specification (OOS)
\n
• Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work center and the site.
\n
• Perform basic troubleshooting and set-ups, review and verify process data for accuracy, ensure proper data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and contribute to sustainability efforts while working under close supervision.
\n
• Assist with investigations, execute protocols, qualifications, and validations, develop skills to independently perform Media Prep tasks, and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.

Physical Attributes

\n
• Exposure to machinery and equipment, chemical reagents, biological materials at Biosafety Levels 1 and 2, in a laboratory environment.
\n
• 100% Standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
\n
• Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting - 40 to 50 lbs.
\n
• Bend and twist as needed.
\n
• Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
\n

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

\n
• 1+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.
\n
• High school diploma or GED.
\n

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n
• Associate's degree in any Life Science discipline.
\n
• 2+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.
\n
• Aseptic laboratory experience.
\n
• Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements.
\n
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
\n
• Reliable and self-motivated.
\n
• Read, follow and understand test methods, operating procedures, and related documentation.
\n

Pay Range for this position: $21.00 - $34.00 per hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
