Job Title: QA (Manual Testing)

Client: Details Available Via Phone Screen

Location: Greenwood Village, CO.

Work Model: Onsite 4 days a week, remote 1 day

Compensation: $40-$45/hr.

Engagement: Long-term W2 contract (Eventual FTE conversion)

As a Brooksource consultant working directly with our client, you will be a W2 employee with full-time 40 hour work week. Comprehensive benefits (health, vision, dental), paid holidays , & sick time accrual is available to all employees on contract.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Manual QA to join our clients' growing Quality Assurance team as the fourth team member. This role is primarily focused on manual testing for our client's Mobile TV App on the Roku platform . You will be responsible for performing front-end testing on new features, ad-hoc promotions, and other updates, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing of all new features and ad-hoc updates, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
• Perform full end-to-end testing , starting with the UI (remote control, app) to confirm proper visual and functional implementation.
• Utilize Postman and Charles Proxy (or an equivalent tool) to inspect communications between frontend and backend.
• Document test cases, results, and findings with a high level of clarity and efficiency.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals to ensure testing aligns with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with teams specializing in Accessibility, Analytics, and Automation for comprehensive quality assurance coverage.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing within a TV app or a comparable platform.
• Experience using Postman for API testing; Charles Proxy experience is preferred but can be taught.
• Strong documentation and process efficiency skills (e.g., writing test cases, creating Wiki pages).
• Familiarity with microservices and backend API testing is a plus.
• Experience working with Live TV streaming apps such as YouTube TV or Hulu is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, and demonstrate curiosity and initiative.
• Native English proficiency is required.
