Job Description

Purchasing Coordinator - Construction - Hybrid: 3 days in-office and 2 remote

Accountants One has a repeat client in the construction industry, who is in the Perimeter Area. They are looking for someone who has 3 + years of experience working in purchasing in the construction industry. Hours are 7:30 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and maintaining budgets
  • Maintaining costs associated with budgets
  • Creating and submitting spreadsheets related to purchasing costs
  • PO/VPO creation and coordination
  • Reviewing all purchasing invoices
  • Submitting invoices for payment
  • Communicating with vendors

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in Purchasing, preferably with a home builder
  • AS Degree or experience
  • Must be home construction, maybe engineering, or manufacturing
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
  • IHMS/ITK A PLUS

Technical Skills:

  • Accounts Payable / Invoice Processing – Experience reviewing and submitting vendor invoices for payment.
  • Budget Management – Ability to review, maintain, and track budgets accurately.
  • Cost Analysis – Experience with tracking and maintaining costs tied to budgets and purchases.
  • Spreadsheet Proficiency (Excel or Google Sheets) – Strong skills in creating, updating, and analyzing spreadsheets related to purchasing costs.
  • ERP/Accounting Systems – Familiarity with systems like SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or other purchasing or financial software.
  • Purchase Order (PO) / Vendor PO (VPO) Management – Experience in generating and managing purchase orders.

  • Attention to Detail – Precision in handling financial documentation and spreadsheets.
  • Communication Skills – Clear and professional communication with vendors and internal teams.
  • Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks and track deadlines, budgets, and invoices.
  • Problem-Solving – Capable of identifying discrepancies in invoices or budgets and resolving them.
  • Team Collaboration – Works well with purchasing, accounting, and operations departments.
