PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST

(Part-Time)

The Program Support Specialist is responsible for administrative support to Ascend programs, specifically Nurse-Family Partnership. This position maintains data, manages inventory and supports the Director in project implementation. Primarily officed at the front desk, this position also serves as the “first impression” for visitors of Ascend Dallas. Reliable transportation is needed. This position is in-office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Compile and enter timely updates in the program databases.
  • Maintain and organize department files and records.
  • Provide general administrative support for program management.
  • Works main call line when needed, including responding to client inquiries.
  • Manages inventory system for program supplies.
  • Assists with program classes, services and events as needed.
  • Assists with special projects as identified.
  • Perform various administrative support duties.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE& EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or additional education preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must successfully pass DFPS background clearance.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and adapt to new data systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and provide team support.
  • Reliable transportation required, local travel necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with clients in diverse settings.

SALARY

  • $24.04 hour
