1st Shift position, 6am - 2:30pm, plus overtime and some Saturday's

Job Summary:

This factory position works as part of the sewing team in the development of seating and positioning products. Following company safety requirements and quality system standards is required. Flexibility of daily job demand tasks and keeping the work area clean and orderly is required.

Essential Job Functions:

To perform the job successfully, the individual must accomplish the following:

• Develop / create innovative patterns for various seating systems.
• Marking and cutting materials according to patterns and design specifications, with a range of fabrics.
• Cutting fabric to minimize material waste.
• Quality conscience, responsible for own quality of product.
• Staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in pattern marking.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Ensures and follows safety requirements and standards.
• Perform in-process inspections.
• Training new employees in pattern cutting.
• Act as a technical expert and mentor others to efficiently interpret design intent.
• Create and maintain accurate records for all work order jobs.
• Perform duties as assigned by the team leader.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

• Proven working experience as a Pattern Maker or a similar role.
• Ability to use pattern making equipment and machinery.
• A problem solver with a detail orientated approach.
• Able to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Highly adaptable and responsive to changing business needs.

Working Environment:

• Position may require extended hours on occasion.
• Position requires standing in a manufacturing environment for extended periods of time.
• Requires lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally or as part of a group.
