Description

Overview:

As a Pattern Maker, you will play a crucial role in the product development process at Chef Works. You will be responsible for creating and developing patterns from initial design concepts to production-ready specifications. Your expertise will ensure the fit, quality, and efficiency of our garments.

Essential Functions:

•Collaborate with designers and product managers to understand design concepts and requirements.

•Create and develop patterns from initial design to production approval.

•Adjust patterns to meet designer specifications and fit requirements through fit sessions.

•Develop precise and well-constructed, fully graded patterns.

•Determine the optimal layout of pattern pieces to minimize material waste.

•Calculate preliminary yields for costing purposes.

•Upload final patterns and measurement sheets to the PLM system.

•Measure garments and patterns to ensure quality at manufacturing facilities.

•Work with sourcing and quality managers to ensure garments meet construction standards.

•Collaborate with sample makers to create fit samples and provide construction guidance.

•Meet product development deadlines and schedules.

•Maintain the integrity and security of product blocks, master samples, and master patterns.

•Collaborate with junior-level team members.

•Work closely with the factory during production to address any requirements or needs that may arise.

•Stay updated on industry trends, pattern-making software, fabric, and garment construction.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

•3-5 years of demonstrated pattern-making experience in an apparel company, including experience with knits and wovens.

•Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and technical design.

•Proficiency in Optitex CAD software.

•Experience using a PLM platform for manufacturing processes.

•Thorough understanding of the pattern-making process and fit/styling on live models.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Strong organizational skills.

•Intermediate proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

•Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

•Prolonged sitting at a computer.

•Occasional standing and bending during fittings.

Salary Description


$80 K - $85 K/ $3,000 bonus annually
