Office Location: Albany, NY

Work Schedule: This role has hybrid flexibility, allowing 2 remote days/week based on business needs. This is a full-time position. Due to client deadlines, overtime may be required and paralegals will receive time and one-half compensation for hours worked above 40 hours in a work week.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

We are currently seeking a Paralegal to work in our Healthcare Practice Group.

The Role:

• Assists attorneys and the Practice Group in a wide variety of tasks: preparing and managing documents and licensure applications, communicating verbally and in writing with clients and state regulators, tracking application status, etc.
• Prepares legal documents, instruments for review, approval, and use by attorneys and the Practice Group
• Maintains current filing system and ensures proper indexing in accordance with the firm’s and the Practice Group’s procedures
• As requested and appropriate, provides administrative support incidental to assigned projects
• Attends and participates in scheduled team and staff meetings; participates in training sessions, as requested

Skills Needed for Success:

• Knowledge/experience in healthcare processes preferred
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite
• Sharp attention to detail while producing large volumes of accurate work in a busy setting

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication preferred
• Paralegal experience on a Healthcare-focused legal team preferred
• Combination of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree
