DESCRIPTION
At Amazon Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Manager is a licensed Pharmacist who is responsible for the operation oversight and compliance of a small format pharmacy site, including; safety, quality, customer experience, budgetary, people development and operations objectives. The Pharmacy Manager will lead a small team of technicians and pharmacists, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the organization. This role will require hands-on involvement in the operation. The Pharmacy Manager will have a strong commitment to patient safety and with high standards of service to deliver on being the earth’s most customer-centric pharmacy.
Key job responsibilities
● Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of the operations.
● Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for employees. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds the team to a high bar.
● Educate pharmacy staff on policies, reporting guidelines, and expectations as they relate to best quality practices
● Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their FC to meet and exceed the operating plan.
● Managing workflow, escalations and effectively delegating across your leadership team.
● Stay informed and adhere to local, state, and federal laws related to pharmacy practices, including changes or developments and their impact on PillPack and its customers
● Coordinate with the corporate legal team to maintain licensure of the pharmacy and its staff with various state pharmacy boards. Continuously monitor licensure requirements
● Responsible for the site’s growth and partnering with capacity planning and facilities for all growth workforce management needs
● Develops talent - Create, lead, engage with and direct a workforce to drive enhanced performance through our people agenda. This will include all levels of the business - safety of our people, employee engagement, performance leadership, training and development, as well as talent & succession planning.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic qualifications
- - ● Doctorate or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy ● Active/Good Standing Pharmacist license in Indiana ● Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety ● Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques ● Strong in oral and written communication skills with the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize. ● Able to manage detail, establish root cause and be able to extract and manipulate data ● Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
