Description:

Prevailance is seeking a Curriculum Developer / System Designer to join our team. In this role, the candidate will be instrumental in managing Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC) courses and developing curriculum that adheres to Navy Instructional System Design (ISD) principles required to Plan, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate, and Maintain (PADDIE-M) NEXWDC courses. The Curriculum System Designer receives work direction from the Senior Military Analyst for Academics.

The responsibilities of the Curriculum Developer / System Designer include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the principles of ISD are being followed throughout the curriculum development process. ISD includes developing management materials to include Training Project Plans (TPP), Course Training Task Lists (CTTL), and Training Course Control Documents (TCCD)
  • Assist in Job, Duty, Task, Analysis (JDTA) and develop Terminal and Enabling Objectives (TO/EO)
  • Develop course objectives and recommend changes to curriculum through a Formal Course Revision (FCR) process
  • Develop testing plan(s), performance test administrator's guide(s) (PTAG), and knowledge test administrators guide(s) (KTAG) as required
  • Organize/facilitate NEXWDC course offerings throughout the fiscal year
  • Instruct course curriculum as necessary
  • Performs other tasks deemed necessary by the Senior Military Analyst for Academics and the Program Manager
Requirements:

Experience:

Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of US military service, civilian, or contractor experience in military training and education; instructional design, educational evaluation; and instructional product development experience as follows:

· Instructional design practices : Principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.

· Educational evaluation : Techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional educational programs, including developing written and performance test and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation systems.

· Instructional product development : Techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying leaner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Expert proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other media type software

· Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties operating under deadline constraints

Education:

Bachelor's degree required; major in education or an equivalent; or minimum of five (5) years’ experience in training or education may be substituted for bachelor’s degree

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
