Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with the curriculum and learning standards.
• Develop each students interest in and ability for creative expression using artistic skills and techniques.
• Establish a culture for learning within the classroom promoting academic social and emotional growth.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding the instructional program and student progress.
• Travel daily between two school sites as required.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a visual arts/art endorsement (K12) or an Elementary Education (K9) with a middle grades art endorsement.
• Foundational knowledge of distance learning structures and Google Suite applications.
• Ability to assess students learning and modify or enhance instruction as needed.
• Ability to analyze various forms of data to inform instructional decisions.
• Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied standardsbased teaching methods.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
• Must hold a valid state of Illinois drivers license.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
