Medical Scribe at Colden ENT & Allergy

Location: Newburyport, MA and Haverhill, MA

Start: May/June 2025

Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)

Responsibilities:

• Work one on one with the physician in an office-based setting.
• Document patient-physician encounters during outpatient visit, including: history of present illness, social/surgical/medical history, examination, procedures, and treatment plan.
• Assist providers in obtaining lab and radiology results to help guide their patient care.
• Gain knowledge on how to discover past history and test results for patients which are critical in driving medical decisions by your provider.
• Understand the flow of patient encounters in the medical office to assist the care team in making patient visits as efficient as possible. Follow the progress of labs, imaging studies, and other real time patient data.
• Perform a variety of other non-clinical tasks dependent on your provider's requests.
• Understand basic documentation requirements for the International Classification of Diseases (ICD10).
• Ensure compliance on all national and local patient privacy laws including HIPAA.
• Adhere to the medical office's compliance requirements and office policies and procedures.

Description:  Seeking a recent graduate for this full-time medical scribe position. Experience with medical knowledge and some connection to the area are preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided.
