Position Overview:
We are excited to invite a highly skilled and innovative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as the Medical Director. In this pivotal role, you will provide psychiatric oversight and support our outpatient clinical operations while contributing to the agency's vision and program development. You will be a vital part of a collaborative team that includes licensed therapists, clinical and executive directors, and other prescribing staff, all dedicated to making a difference in the mental health of children and adolescents in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychopharmacological evaluations for clients in need of medication services.
Offer non-face-to-face services, including phone consultations with physicians, pharmacies, clients, and their parents or guardians.
Review, prescribe, and monitor client medications with a focus on safe and effective treatment.
Maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions and related contacts.
Collaborate on program consultation and development initiatives to enhance mental health services for children and youth, exploring innovative treatment delivery methods to meet the growing need in our community.
Partner with the Executive Director to establish a connection with a psychiatry fellowship program, supervising fellows on-site at our center to increase access to care for our clients.
Provide case consultation and training as needed, fostering a culture of continuous learning and support.
Collaborate and educate local primary care providers and pediatricians to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
Participate in the agency's Quality Management process as needed to uphold our commitment to high standards.
Be available for after-hours phone consultations on an as-needed basis to support our clients and team.
Offer valuable insights to clinicians regarding diagnostic impressions and psychopharmacological recommendations.
Prepare and maintain clinical case records and documentation in accordance with clinic guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.
Maintain accurate billing and client documentation as required by Medicaid, insurances, and other entities, including prior authorizations when necessary.
Stay compliant with state and federal licensing requirements while pursuing ongoing education for professional growth.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Three to five years of direct practice experience with the juvenile and young adult population is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $250,000 to $310,000 per year
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, WA 98683 (Relocation required before starting work)
