Experienced Diesel Mechanic

Compensation: Up to $83,000 annually based on experience

Coach USA is currently hiring full-time experienced class A or class B diesel mechanics to work at our Waukesha, WI Location! Coach USA has a new and exciting career opportunity for an experienced class A or class B diesel mechanic at our Waukesha location. We are looking for an experienced mechanic to repair and inspect company equipment in a cost effective, safe, and timely manner.

Responsibilities: \n
\n - Perform basic, routine, and preventative maintenance bus repairs.
\n - Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures.
\n - Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.
\n - Removal, installation, disassembly, and reconditioning of components of diesel engines.
\n - Interprets diagnostic test results accurately.
\n - Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans.
\n - Collaborates with other diesel mechanics in all operational repairs.
\n - Demonstrate skills in advanced testing of all vehicle systems.
\n - Participate in maintenance training programs required for job and career development.
\n - Completes test drives to make sure all repaired vehicles run correctly and safely.
\n - Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely in a maintenance environment.
\n - Follow all safety rules and regulations in the performance of work assignments.

Qualifications: \n
\n - Experienced Class A or B mechanic.
\n - High School Diploma or GED preferred.
\n - Be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including outdoors.
\n - Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background check.
\n - Familiarity with safety management.
\n - Possess your own set of tools to perform maintenance tasks.
\n - Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one.
\n - Ability to work weekends and holidays.
\n - Basic computer skills.
\n - Ability to communicate effectively in English.
\n - Experience in the transportation industry.
\n - Experience in the Motor Coach Industry.
\n - Associate degree in diesel technology preferred.
\n - Computer diagnostic skills a plus, but training is provided.
