Core Responsibilities

1. Monitor, analyze, and track legislative and regulatory policy trends at the state level on core public policy issues important to the LEGO entities.
2. Multidisciplinary focus: Engage with a range of topics including environmental responsibility, responsible digital engagement, learning through play, and others.
3. Strategic support: Support the GPA US team in developing a strategy for activities related to monitoring, analyzing, engagement, and reporting.
4. Trend analysis: track, analyze, and report on trends at the state level, providing insights that can inform strategic decisions.
5. Event public affairs support: Provide support on the design, management, and execution of compelling engagement events with policymakers and other partners in key states.
6. Work collaboratively across the LEGO Brand entities and internal functions/programs to advance our corporate reputation and commercial objectives to reach more children with playful, hands-on learning in priority states.
7. Leverage partnerships, districts, associations, and coalitions to enhance government and public affairs impact.
8. Foster and grow strong relationships with the right partners within the political, regulatory, civil society, and business communities.

The GPA Americas team focuses on issues across North and South America specifically related to business priorities and our corporate citizenship agenda. The team delivers impact through driving market specific plans in the region to enable our operations, while achieving our mission of inspiring the builders of tomorrow.

Do you have what it takes?

1. Minimum 2 years experience in supporting government and public affairs programs within global or local organizations or government institutions.
2. Experience with state government affairs and a proven track record of contributing to public policy objectives.
3. High integrity and a commitment to doing what’s right for the company and our primary partners, children.
4. An independent, self-starter with strong prioritization skills who thrives in both independent and team environments.
5. Work collaboratively with multiple team members across various departments and fields.
6. Ability to build relationships and partner effectively with government and related customers.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Bachelor’s degree in public policy, government affairs, law, education or related fields preferred or equivalent work experience.
9. English – Advanced (written and spoken).

Additional details on this position

The salary for this position has a range of $100,900 - $151,300 USD based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.

This position will initially be based at 501 Boylston St. in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St. by mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.
