Job descriptionUnified Personnel is looking for Low Voltage/Technician near Dallas, TX.
Position Overview:
As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, termination, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems. You will work alongside other skilled technicians and project managers to ensure the successful completion of client installations and upgrades, ensuring the highest quality of service and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Fiber Installation & Termination: Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables and connectors for commercial and residential clients.
Cable Management: Route and secure fiber and copper cabling in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
System Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform testing on fiber optic systems to ensure quality, reliability, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve fiber-related issues when necessary.
Site Preparation: Prepare work areas by ensuring proper materials, tools, and equipment are available for installation.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and team members to plan and execute installations efficiently and on schedule.
Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and clear communication with clients at all times.
Documentation: Maintain detailed installation records, including wiring diagrams and test results, to ensure accurate project documentation.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician with at least [1] year of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and termination.
In-depth knowledge of fiber optic cable types, splicing techniques, and termination procedures.
Experience with fiber optic systems.
Familiarity with low voltage systems such as security cameras, alarms, data cabling, and audio/video systems is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if applicable).
Ability to lift up to [50] pounds and work in a variety of physical environments (e.g., commercial, industrial, outdoor sites).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in commercial, industrial, or large-scale installations.
