We are seeking an experienced Locums Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide psychiatric care across several geriatric facilities in the Worcester, Massachusetts area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting long-term care residents. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a panel of approximately 150 clients while collaborating with facility staff and other behavioral health professionals.
Compensation: $100-$110 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations, therapy, and medication management for geriatric patients.
Conduct consultations for medication adjustments and behavioral management.
Collaborate with Directors of Nursing (DONs), social workers, and physicians at each facility.
Participate in monthly staff meetings with the CHL behavioral health team.
Maintain accurate documentation in Carelogic EMR.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to regulatory standards.
Assignment Details:
Duration: 4–5 months
Hours: 30 per week
Patient Load: Approximately 150 clients
Facilities: 7 nursing homes in Natick, Northboro, Marlboro, and Worcester, MA
Team Support: DONs, MDs, social workers, and CHL behavioral health staff
Requirements:
Licensure: Active Massachusetts NP or PA license
Certifications: DEA and Massachusetts CSR required
Experience: Previous geriatric or long-term care psychiatric experience preferred
EMR: Proficiency with Carelogic
Preference: Local providers
