Position Overview
The Juvenile Justice Intervention Center (JJIC), operated by the City of New Orleans, is a secure detention facility for youth awaiting court proceedings or placement. JJIC provides trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate medical and behavioral health care to residents, many of whom present with complex needs. We are seeking dedicated healthcare and behavioral health professionals to join our on-site team, delivering high-quality care 24|7 in compliance with state, federal, and juvenile justice standards.

Qualifications
~ Education: Master of Social Work
~ Licensure: Active Louisiana LCSW
~ Experience: Juvenile justice or youth behavioral health (required)
~ Technical Skills: Trauma therapy modalities, discharge planning systems
~ Soft Skills: Crisis intervention, family systems engagement, judicial collaboration

Key Responsibilities
~ Provide individual, group, and family therapy
~ Participate in case staffing and classification decisions
~ Assist with discharge planning and connect youth to community resources
~ Prepare court summaries as requested
