Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Web Designer/Developer with a strong proficiency in WordPress design and development, particularly using page builders such as Elementor, Breakdance, or Bricks. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of web design concepts and methodologies and have strong expertise in UI/UX design. You will play a vital role in planning, designing, developing, and maintaining our websites using industry best practices, ensuring seamless user experiences, and efficiently implementing new features and updates. Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and strong content writing skills will be highly beneficial. Additionally, a background in graphic design will be an asset to this team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly website layouts and interfaces with a strong focus on best practices.

• Integrate third-party services into client websites, enabling seamless connections to online tools and services.

• Collaborate with internal department teams to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.

• Maintain, expand, and scale our in-house company websites to meet evolving business needs.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant innovations to ongoing projects.

• Work closely with clients and web designers to ensure visual design intent is met and maintained.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues promptly to ensure optimal performance.

• Develop e-commerce functionalities and implement secure online payment processing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in website design and development (Please be prepared to share examples of website projects where you played a major role in design or development).

• Strong experience with WordPress, including page builders such as Elementor, Breakdance, or Bricks.

• Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, using best practices for web development.

• Proficiency with JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.

• Comprehensive understanding of web design concepts, UI/UX design, and the importance of accessibility in creating inclusive digital experiences.

• Experience in developing responsive designs for a variety of devices and screen sizes.

• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques, with the ability to troubleshoot and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Adequate knowledge of SEOC concepts and best practices.

• Strong content writing skills are highly desirable for this position.

• Understanding of web security best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and address issues effectively.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to rapidly changing technologies and techniques.

Flexible Work Schedule:

• Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Location in Downtown Melbourne, FL

• Days: Choose between:

  • Monday through Thursday or

  • Tuesday through Friday ……This flexible scheduling allows you to select the workdays that best fit your personal and professional needs.
