From our EPA-certified facility in Knoxville, TN, we manage the removal and recycling of used PTAC units from thousands of properties, diverting hundreds of tons of waste away from landfills every year.
Position Overview: The Inventory and Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and distribution operations, ensuring that our logistics processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the needs of our business. This is an entry-level management leadership position designed for recent college graduates with degrees in Supply Chain, Business, or similar fields. While applicants should have experience or training in these areas, we welcome those who are early in their careers and eager to grow. This role is both an individual-contributor and leadership position, meaning you will be hands-on in managing day-to-day operations while also leading and developing a team. This dual responsibility provides a unique opportunity to build your leadership skills while directly contributing to the success of our logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Transportation Management: - Lead, learn from, and collaborate with our Logistics Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of transportation activities.
- Monitor the performance of Less-than-Truckload (LTL) carriers, ensuring service levels meet company standards.
- Negotiate rates with LTL carriers to optimize cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their transportation needs, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Distribution Management: - Lead the warehouse distribution team to ensure efficient and effective distribution processes.
- Manage local and third-party logistics (3PL) inventories, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Allocate customer orders across various locations, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing delivery times.
Inventory Management: - Execute regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Create and develop proactive inventory management strategies in collaboration with the Finance team, aimed at reducing costs and improving stock turnover.
- Monitor and report on storage capacity measurements, ensuring that space is utilized effectively, and future needs are anticipated.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience or training in transportation, distribution, or inventory management, gained through internships, coursework, or entry-level roles.
- Strong leadership potential, with the ability to manage both individual tasks and team responsibilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Compensation and Schedule: - 60,000 salary with opportunities for advancement based on performance.
